JULY 4th

This was probably one of our most mellow 4th of July celebrations ever. Ellie was in California with her Dad so it was just me, Robert and Mame. We walked down to the Sugarhouse street fair and then hung around watching all the people trying to find parking spaces for the huge fireworks show at Sugarhouse Park. One thing I will miss about this house besides my fabulous kitchen is watching the fireworks from my backyard. They go right up over my yard like they were meant just for us. Perfect view and you can hear the music from the park. No friends or family and Mame was asleep so just me and my honey had the backyard to ourselves. Had we been younger and more energetic it would have been the perfect time for a little hanky panky but you know how it is..... plus the Tour de France has started so Robert has one thing on his mind and it isn't getting down with the wife. We did have pangs of sorrow that we were not celebrating in Manhattan Beach like we have for the last 4 years but we need to save our pennies for the move when it happens. Keep your fingers crossed for us.
