SPRING BREAK 2012

The Bucks came down for spring break and brought Nani along with them. It was a full house but we had a great time hanging out. We hit the Austin Rodeo, did hair, swam and mostly let the kids play. Of course we had to bust out the chocolate fountain and chow down a few pounds of strawberries to make the break a total success.

AUSTIN KITE FESTIVAL

With perfect weather as usual we decided to check out the Austin Kite Festival. It takes place at a giant park downtown along the water across the river from downtown. It was a beautiful site to behold as 1000's of kites of every size and color filled the sky.

Tons of people, dogs, food, and games for kids. Ellie went for the climbing wall and was at the top in a matter of minutes while Scarlett tried the hula hoops out. It was pretty fun and different and a great excuse to get out and enjoy the day.

ELLIE'S 11th BIRTHDAY

6 months in Austin and Ellie already has a ton of friends which made for a great birthday party. Fortunately for me she just wanted to have some friends over to dance, play pinball and partake of the chocolate fountain that I bought for the occasion. They had a great time and even included little Scarlett. Robert hung in pretty good as the drama and volume got pretty loud until 10;30 pm when the party ended.

I'm so proud of what a delightful, strong, caring young lady she has become. She is a straight A student, loves soccer and every kid in our neighborhood, young and old thinks of Ellie as their best friend which shows what a nurturing, kind and fun girl she is. I think she has an inner light that people are drawn to and an understanding of what people need. Love this girl so much and feel LUCKY to be her mom.
