9 year old and 6 month old

I can't believe Mame is 6 months old (March 4th) and has finally made it on the chart in the 1% at a whopping 11 1/2 lbs. I can't believe it has been 6 months since I laid in bed crying in sickness and in fear and frustration. I am so glad it is over but am so glad I did it. I know I am not known for taking the initiative or following through on some things but when it is important to me like having a baby was I try to make it happen and fortunately in this case it happened with a little help from science.
Mame had a rough start trying to eat her rice cereal but little by little she gets more in her mouth and less on her body. She even has one tiny fat roll on her leg. She has taken up heavy breathing with a vengeance. We are hoping it is not an indication of her future career.
I also can't believe Ellie turned 9 last month. I can't believe it has been 9 years since I laid in bed crying in sickness and in fear and frustration. I can't believe it did it again even if it was 8 years later but watching my two girls together is the high light of my life.
Ellie had a 70's disco roller skating party and it was a blast. I forgot how fun roller skating is. Robert even held it together while driving 6 nine year old girls to the roller rink who sang Mama Mia songs at the top of their lungs all the way there. He was a good sport and took great video of us all doing the Hokey Pokey. Ellie picked out her outfit and designed her own cake. I love her style and confidence.
The weather was warmer today and I was able to put my baby in her awesome stroller and walk to Dilworth to pick Ellie up from school. Seems minor but I have dreamed of walking my baby to pick up my other baby in the sunshine with no pressing place to be except with my kids. Mame got a nap and Ellie and I got to chat about her day. It was a good day and I am grateful for it.
